Candle Care
Candle Care
To ensure your candles burn beautifully and safely, please follow these simple tips:
The First Burn is Key: Soy wax has a memory. On the first burn, allow the melted wax to reach the edges of the jar (this usually takes 3-4 hours). This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn for the life of your candle.
Trim the Wick: Before each use, trim the wick to 1/4 inch. This promotes a clean, steady flame and prevents smoking or sooting.
Burn Time: For safety reasons, avoid burning your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time.
Safe Surface: Always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials.
Avoid Drafts: Keep your candle away from drafts, open windows, fans, and air vents, as these can cause uneven burning or flickering.
Handle with Care: Never touch a candle jar while it is lit. Allow sufficient time for it to cool before handling.
Don't Burn to the Bottom: Leave a small amount of wax at the bottom of the jar. As the candle burns down, the jar can become hot, and this helps prevent potential damage to the surface underneath.
Multiple Wicks: If your candle has multiple wicks, be sure to light and extinguish them all at the same time.
